Woah, it has been quite a while. Here are some pictures I snapped in a candy store in Jackson, Hole while I was up there this weekend.

Liberty Heights Fresh
Ok, I went to an organic food shop in Salt Lake yesterday. It was an interesting place to take pictures because it was so monochromatic yet colorful at the same time. I think you’ll see what I mean when you look at the pictures. I’ll get some more up from there in time

Looks like spring is here
Well it looks like we are getting well into the warm sunny weather. I thought I’d spend some time taking a few pictures today. I went out and found a few great scenes and captured some great flowers.

First post with a photo taken on the new lens
Well, now that I’ve introduced you to my new lens, I’ll show you what it can do. I took these early the other morning and used some sweet Photoshop magic to stitch them together. I was in the North Logan benches when I took it and I love what the fog does, but you have to see the whole width to really take it in. So give it a click and zoom in to see how cool it is.
Speaking of photo equipment
So my brother and I were poking around the house. We came across this. It is the camera I learned Photography on. It’s a Canon AE-1 they built them between 1976-1984 so I don’t know exactly how old it is but it is still pretty sweet.
There you have it. What got me started down this crazy road.
It’s Here

In a dream, in a place of the far reaches of this mind
Well this is a picture I have wanted to take for a long time, one with water that looks soft and dreamy. So I went up to Logan Cave and caught a few. I’m really happy with them. I am going to find some more water and try it again sometime.
Sorry for the long wait since the last post, finals week was insane but now it’s over and I can get going on more picture time!

They will see us waving from such great heights
It may be raining; but that still makes for great pictures. I took this one up at 1st Dam. Water is tough because it’s hard to know exactly where to focus. With that I’ll leave you to the picture.

Everyday I wake I tell myself a little harmless lie: The whole wide world is mine.
Well, I had so many Hawaii pictures that I liked I decided to do another post of them. Here are some more, the top is the same sunset but about tem minutes earlier. The others are from the grounds around a lighthouse.
I have some new photo shoot ideas, I just need some people with keys to let me into some locked places. As soon as I get that I will post some of my current works that are going on in my brain.

If I had my own world I'd love it for all that's inside it.
Well, today’s post is dedicated to Nick-face . . .and the Angels and Airwaves song in the title. Nick rides the train everyday (and he is sitting right here) and so I decided to put this picture of the Logan train station up that I took about a month ago (even though he doesn’t go to the Logan station). Trains are definitely awesome and maybe someday we will get the Frontrunner all the way up here. Well adios.

There is no charge for awesomeness, or attractiveness.
Well, I’m patiently awaiting springtime so I can take some great new pictures. Meanwhile, I dug up some pictures from Spring Break a few years ago. They were taken on my A620 but they still came out good and Lightroom made them great.
This is a waterfall that came every morning after the rain, by noon it was gone but you could count on it the next morning.
. . . Sunset, pretty self-explanatory.
Pearl Harbor, this is from the boat that takes you out to see the Arizona memorial.

But all the colors mix together – to grey
Well folks, I spent some time with the camera yesterday and came out with this happy little picture. I’ll do less talking and let the picture take this one.

Hey, is anybody home, has anybody painted fear on bedroom walls?
Well, I’ve been busy and haven’t put anything new up. So to silence the roar of the crowd (Jessica, I never said I’d post everyday) here are some pictures of a Concentration Camp that I visited. My boss and I were talking about the holocaust and it reminded me of the solemn feeling there. Nothing too new but at least it will give you something to look at till my next post.
Sleeping arrangements
Showers
If you haven’t seen the movie “Life is Beautiful” I highly recommend it. It lets you see how concentration camps were, and how awful the Jews were treated. The main character makes the most of it though and he never gets down because of what’s happening to him.

If you’re curious my favorite color is blue.
That line from Secondhand Serenade seems to fit this picture well. It’s also one of my very favorite songs.
Well, I grew tired of just putting up Las Vegas pictures so I went through my good old Lightroom catalog and found this guy that I took a few years ago. I had this table that had jet black glass on top of it. It made so many interesting pictures because the reflection came out well but background reflections faded into black.
I guess that is all for now. Have a Maxellent Thursday.

Life is waiting for you,
it’s all messed up but we’re alive.
I am still getting up my cool Las Vegas pictures. This is shows more of why I love the ISO 1600 and Image Stabilization. I took these resting on a fence and they came out sharp and clean. Night shots might become my new favorite thing, they are so charming when they come out so much easier than they did on my A620.
This was a quick stop and fire a shot with the hopes that it works out. It did and I am really happy how the pillars in front look with the skinny hotel sticking out of the background. They both create such a feeling of how the lights of Vegas just grow from the black desert.
I better add a third picture. I think I will put three more Vegas ones up in my next post and then I can move on (or back) to some of the other pictures that are still in line to be put up. This one is of the fountains, how can I not have one of them. I tried to do a little post processing but found that I liked it best straight from the camera. The mist and the glow it provides makes things seem cool and warm at the same time.
Well that’s all for this post. Let me know what you think. I am always looking for cool ideas too so if you have something you want to see, let me know. I will try to photograph it.

No, it won't all go the way it should
but I know the heart of life is good.
Well, here are some more Vegas pictures. They are from inside the Bellagio. I sure do like the ISO1600 on my camera. It makes dark indoor pictures so much more vivid and easy to capture, that combined with the 18-55mm IS lens I don’t think it can get much better. It does add a little grain but it not even noticeable in my opinion.
This one is cool, it’s a bit busy and you tend to lose my favorite subject, the face in the back that is blinded by the tree. I do enjoy the water and the great reflection it creates.
This next one is looking up at the ceiling, the glass looks like a rainbow from all the flowers reflecting in it. I took another one with the flash and the charm from the multicolor refection disappeared.
I have been saving my best ones for last hopefully I will get them up tomorrow and you will see some of the great outdoor shots I got there. Oh, and commenting works now so if you were sad becasue you couldn't say something, be happy and say all you want.

I’m starting to fashion an idea in my head
where I would impress you with every single word I said. It’d come out insightful, or brave, or smooth, or charming and you’d want to call me. And I would be there every time you'd need me
I'd be there every time... But for now I'll look so longingly
waiting for you to want me, for you to need me, for you to notice me.
Well, here is the continuation of my depth of field images. It turned out pretty good for being taken at night without a tripod, there is a cool little lens flare, I guess that’s what I get when I have the kit glass. This doesn’t let me post pictures as big as I would like to so if you click on them they get bigger and you can see more detail. This picture has seen a little Lightroom processing, I just reduced the exposure some and added a little black clipping and highlight recovery. It makes the lamp “pop” out of the picture just a bit more.

Viva Las Vegas
Well, I just got back from a great journey to Las Vegas. I got some great pictures so they are going to go up in the next few days. I have a backlog of them plus some at the train station here in Logan so I will have to work on getting caught up.
This one shows some cool depth of field with the B for Bellagio in the front. I have a few more depth of field ones that I will get posted too. This one is straight off the camera like this, I will try to comment on the ones that get touchups in Photoshop or Lightroom after they have been taken.
Well, enjoy.
I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
Today's blog title is brought to you in part by When In Rome - The Promise. It is a glorious 80's song and was masterfully redone by Anberlin.
Well on to the good part, Tuesday March 3rd, I drove a 2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur. . . Yum. . . It was so cool, the 6.0 Twin Turbo W12 was incredible and it now tops the list of the most expensive car I've driven, with a sticker of what I was told came out to $220,000 brand new.
Well enough of the boring stuff I know you all want to see the pictures. So here they are.
And one with me in the driver’s seat, just so you know I’m not pulling your leg.
